NIPPED OUT

Hi! Well as you can see we were able to get in a little last minute ice fishing this week. I'm not in the shot as the cooler was empty and I had to backfloat to shore for more. Chilly! Good exercize though! It has been a really good week. My arm is getting much better. It's still a little sore if I put it out to the side and raise it up. Aaron wants to start boxing. Hopefully I'll be able to start soon. As you might know, Tayna Harding is my idol. If I could get to be half as good as Tayna I'd be happy. Have a great weekend. It's supposed to be rain all weekend. Good reason to head into any ANYTIME FITNESS club. How's that for a plug?

Arm Excercises

Well here we go ... My arm is getting better! Awhile ago in a bar brawl over the kyroake machine, I tore something in my arm and if I tried to wave or put a coat on my arm would hurt really bad. Aaron had me doing these lame looking arm excercises and I really think they're working! It's still not healed, but it is a lot better. I started to lift weights on a machine. No dumbells. (No comment please) I've been doing lots of leg excercises too. Walking lunges and now side ones. Plus crunches. I had an e-mail sent in and they wanted me to ask Aaron if there is a formula to calculate how many calories to height ratio a person should eat per day to weigh a certain amount. Aaron can you answer this? I'm not good at math, thinking makes my head hurt. Thanks for the question though. I'm sure we'd all like to know that one. Have a good week!

SHAPING UP FOR FOOTBALL

Well Thanks to the people at Richfield Liquors who say they like the journal and the drink recipes. I'll taste test more and post them soon. Really appreciate it!

This week was pretty good actually. I still have a tear in my arm. If it's not a tear I don't know what it is, but it hurts when I raise my hand to wave. After I lifted with Aaron and did my arm stuff to help heal it, it hardly hurts at all today. That is great news, I don't want to have to go to the Dr. This week we did alot of leg work. I kind of like leg work. Lunges especially. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I actually LIKE to do them, it's just that you get results pretty quickley if you do them regularly. We're going to start working on splits. Not for a little bit though. First things first. I really want to get in shape for the football season! Can't wait to see my favorite players on my favorite team. (I'm kind of a groupy)

Later!

Here we go!!!!!!!!

Back at it again. Does it ever end?! Aaron sez jump and I say how high? In this case Aaron sez crunch. Lots of 'em. Crunches are my least favorite thing. I'm not sure why, they just feel awkward. Aaron sez they'll get easier as time goes on, but I'm not so sure. At least he brought in my favorite barstool to make it easier. Takes my mind off of things. Then there's the real payoff when I'm done... My favorite lite brewski. I hear there's a new local beer called Surley. Maybe that would taste good after a workout as that's how I'm feeling when I've finished my crunches. Oh and FYI, did you know vodka is low in calories?! It's true! And while we're talking drinks, have you tried the "surfer on acid"? Delish. Take a half ounce of jagermeister, half ounce of malibu coconut rum, half ounce pineapple juice, pour into a stainless shaker and you have a taste sensation like no other. It's really good. I'll try and throw in a few of my other favorite recipes now and then. Also, if you have any workout questions for Aaron, just let me know and he can answer them for you. Thanks for listening and reading. Have a great week!

Not Faking It!

It was a bar brawl! aaron doubts me and thinks I could be faking it. No way! I won! It was at the legion. someone tried to stop me from singing my 5th Karaoke song and I had to fight 'em. pretty soon the whole bar joined in. Against me!

Thanks to my workouts with AZ I took on the whole bar and won. I have to find a new legion club though. I don't think I'm welcome at that one anymore.

Have a great weekend!

Hurt Shoulder

Hey T, just checking to see how the shoulder is doing (I told you to stop the Monday night mud wrestling). Remember to rest the upper body for a day or two (no that doesn’t mean the whole body). Stick to the walking/ cardio plan and keep doing the core and lower body exercises. It’s important to stay active. Hopefully the arm will feel better in a day or two.

Bar Brawl

I have a little ache in my shoulder and back (no it’s not Tom…….well). I honestly think that I slept wrong (or it could be the bar brawl I got into at the VFW last weekend). After talking with Aaron we decided to rest my upper body for a couple of days (yah, I wonder what I can fake next week). He still made me work legs and cardio (not very sympathetic).

Staying on Target!

Hey everybody, just checking in. I’ve been working out pretty regularly. Just making sure to get 3 workouts in per week. I’ve been walking pretty much everyday (sometimes I get lost which forces me to go further…. don’t try that at home, I am a trained professional.) It actually has been pretty easy sticking to the workout; Anytime Fitness is really convenient (the key card thing is cool). Aaron and I are working on increasing my strength and balance (makes it easier to drink the big beer mugs on one leg) I’ll keep you posted.
