Ouch!

I fell down steps onto concrete and messed up my leg and hand. As you can see from the picture I took quite a tumble.

When I get back Aaron, I and Jeanne at pilates need to work on balance. Actually It was rainy and dark on a morning before work and I lost my keys in the shubs and crawled around in the rain and mud and still made it to work on time!

My leg was bleeding and my Gap pants didn't tear!

The Circuit

This week instead of doing a certain number of reps Aaron used a stop watch and we talked while I lifted. I now know Aaron's whole life story. I feel like he needs me too! It's hard to lift and listen, but I don't want to hurt his feelings.

By the end of the circuit my arms were limp ... seriously! I think you do 80 times more work with a timer rather than doing reps. I did pilates on Wednesday. Someone in the class said if I did yoga it would help with the pilates, so now I'm looking into that as well.

Help ... I'm in over my head!!!

NO GRUNTING ALLOWED

This week I missed my Pilates class, I feel bad about as I was on a roll two weeks ago. I lifted with Aaron and watched other people lift. It's interesting to watch people ... they only thing I don't like is when they grunt because I end up focusing on that...

Aaron is good, he still has a girlfriend ... for all you gals (and guys) that are wondering.

Next week back on track with Pilates because it REALLY FEELS good to do that. I'm already loving it.

I miss the air swimming (swimming motions done out of water).

I told Aaron my big goal is to do the splits and a cartwheel. He said, "we can work that". I think I have a ways to go.

Week 2 of Pilates

I love the class! I am by far the worst one, but who cares? I'm learning.

I can really see why people like these classes. You're stretching your entire body. Some parts are hard and other movements feel really good. It's the 1st time I've ever taken a class (except for acrobats with Bonnie Kunz in 6th grade where I learned to do the "spider walk" - A backbend walking backwards, in my leotard with sequins!).

I Think I Can Part Duex

This week I did Pilates!!

Jeannie was the instructor (much nicer than Aaron). One thing you should know if you're thinking about taking a class is ... have a pedicure first! I showed up in my Jennifer Beals Ripped sweatshirt and leg warmers with my velcro high tops (circa 1984) and I stood alone!

Jeannie said take off your shoes and socks and I could only go as far as my socks. The class was great. I have a lot of work to do, but by looking at others in the class, it works! They look amazing ... honest!

Aaron up'ed my weights this week. I hate him (to be said in a Brando voice)!

Have a great weekend!

Terri
